Our Experience With Advisor Transitions

In 2017, Castle Coast Wealth’s principal, Charlie Gillespie, acquired a large, well-established advisory practice at LPL Financial. The practice was built over three decades and consisted primarily of advisory relationships supported by deep client trust.

The transition was handled deliberately:

  • Client by client
  • Meeting by meeting
  • In person

The planned transition period was 18 months—and it was completed on schedule with 100% client retention.

Since that time, Castle Coast Wealth has grown organically and through referrals, now overseeing approximately $425 million in client assets, with retention consistently above 98%.

Growth has been the result of continuity, not disruption.
